Why Zen Masters reject meditation: Science provides clues

People who experience religous conversion often vote and content brigade in this forum, violating the Reddiquette in an attempt to make their meditation religion and meditation in general seem more legit.

It is important to remember that these people may be suffering from mental impairements caused by meditation, and not simply religous trolls with an anti-historical narrative and a pocket full of hate.

But given how meditation was a part of monastic culture throughout China, it seems unlikely that Zen Masters weren't aware of the dark dark downside of meditation worship.

When we ask "Why don't religous meditation people have a forum on Reddit and end up content brigading here?" it may be that they just aren't up to it.
