At the end of a summer retreat, Cuiyan said, “All summer I’ve been talking to you brethren: look—are my eyebrows still there?” Baofu said, “The thief’s heart is cowardly.” Chanqing said, “They’ve grown.” Yunmen said, “Barrier!”
Jungle_Toad's commentary
Zen is beyond words, so if you spend all summer talking, you stop appearing to be like a bushy eyebrowed zen master. Worrying about losing the appearance of a zen master is just thieving a zen master's form (cosplaying). Thinking you are smart in pointing that out is still taking on a zen master's form (larping). Now you have hit a wall named Yunmen.
"Jungle_Toad's commentary" = still larping
This whole conversation between these goofballs reminded me of some of the more entertaining moments in the comments section here, so I wrote you all a haiku.
