I have an assignment in class to draw "creative connections" between Descartes meditations and essentially anything. I was thinking of providing a criticism of Descartes claiming in med 1 that the senses and reason cannot be trusted for knowledge and then using reason in med 2 to argue I think therefore I am. Any passages or cases you can think of where either knowledge or reason is refuted? Bonus points if it is from the Mumonkan, or the blue cliff record (because those are the only books I own). Thanks, humans!
