Got an IRL block on the basis of 'not having figured myself out' after my incessant questioning of horsetrainer's intolerance-of yet illiteracy-in Zen culture which flip-flopped into an intolerance-of-me.

In a community where users can be arbitrarily kicked out of participation by the religiously-offended, such as /r/Zen, isn't that the extent of what any Q/A would consist of? Dead-end questions about stuff as equally untopical?

I continue to recommend this work both from a history-is-fun perspective and for its citations of the tail-end of translated Zen Masters. I haven't found anyone else who has read it yet.
