Master Fayun Yuantong said, “Great Vehicle, Small Vehicle—well rope, cash string. Contamination, noncontamination—bamboo skimmer, wooden ladle.”
How is a well rope or like the Great Vehicle of Zen in distinction to a cash string of the small vehicle?
It’s use is active functioning rather than passive containment.
How is contamination like a bamboo skimmer in distinction noncontamination’s wooden ladle?
