Mahayana is not “the great vehicle”

Quick history lesson.

Just like theravada did not actually really have a pali cannon written by the buddha, the mahayanists called themselves “the great vehicle” to differ themselves from theravada’s limiting beliefs and tibetan buddhisms preist-hood; seeing it as the “small vehicle”.

How can mahayana be the “great vehicle” when its based on as a counter-part to vajryana buddhism which claims buddha was from nepal and started tibetan buddism…..which is simply not true.

So if all 3 major branches are lying then its clear as day that the only “great vehicle” from the buddha is only mentioned in traditional zen.
