Huineng holds that all scriptures are devised for man and built upon the inherent prajña-mind of his self-nature.
"If there were no human beings, there would have been no dharmas whatever from the beginning."
This is why he interprets all doctrines and dogmas in the light of the mind and nature of man.
His theory of the Trikaya is as revolutionary as his theory of the Triple Gem. He preaches the threefold body of the Buddha of your self-nature. Your own body contains the Trikaya tathagata.
In the sense that your self-nature is fundamentally pure and clean and that all the dharmas have their source in it, it is truly the dharmakaya Buddha. [Formless].
When all illusions and passions have been swept away by the piercing light of the prajñā mind, which is the self-nature's own mind, your self-nature appears in its full splendor like the sun in a cloud less sky, this is called the sambhogakaya Buddha. [Desire].
But nowhere is his faith in the creative power of the mind more clearly shown than in his treatment of the nirmanakayas (transformation bodies). [Form]. It is our thought that makes us what we are. People under delusion do not understand this and persist in evil-doing, while at the same time seeking external blessings, which are of no avail for bringing about their enlightenment. If, however they should turn their mind to the good even for a single moment, prajñā would instantly arise, and their self-nature becomes the true nirmanakaya of Buddha.

u/OwlsDoom asked me few days ago what view I hold about Trikaya. I found this small section on Huineng's view.
