Guidance on direction

ive lately felt like ive hit a wall with practice - i feel like im not truely learning anything from zazen - when i first deleved into buddhism with tibetian book of the dead i felt as if i was learning something and studying and what not but lately ive felt like when i have moved into zen practice i dont have material to learn from or literatie to refer to, i know this may be the point of zen that the message is the flower buddha holds but i think i personally need a dharmapadma or something to refer to - to base belief on - , im also confused on what zen practice feels regarding the book of the dead and if that is "canon" with their beliefs, idk i jsut feel like ive hit a major wall and im questioning whether zen is the path for me and not tibetian again - what drew me to zen was the strict practice and the minimalist style, but i did love the study and learning and kinda religoius ascpet to tibetian abnd i fell like im lacking that in zen,

idk what im asking maybe for advice or guidence - forgive me if this is confusing as i havent reeally spoken about this untill now as im needed direction thank you xx
