Students in recent times insist on preaching Zen as religion before they have understood their own selves. They are all charlatans.

The approach lately by religious trolls to this forum wrt. questions of Zen study is not to confront the subject directly or even to respond to pointed questions to their history of fraudulent claims, it overwhelmingly consists of directing newcomers away from texts written by Zen Masters and towards churches that rely on religious "qualifications" as the basis of their claimed authority to teach Zen.
If they can't demonstrate their enlightenment, they're just Priests playing make-believe and chaining up anyone who believes in them.
