Hey everyone, I'll keep it short and simple. edit: I guess not too short
If anybody wants a friendly and comfortable place to hangout, without any of the drama and trolling of this place and being able to discuss the topics of Chan/Zen, then come on by.
It is still a work in progress and currently set to private while I figure out the layout and all that.
If this interests anybody feel free to PM me, once I organize it a bit more and open it, I thought it would be nice to have some early posts where we can spitball ideas of what we want and what constitutes a "friendly and comfortable" space and what doesnt.

stickied post on "off-topic Tuesday" that would be suited for things that can relate or are similar to Chan/Zen but arent actually teachings from Chan/Zen (alan watts quotes, more buddhist ideas; taoism, etc etc.

a weekly post that is for general questions and advice to get started. This could include answering questions for newcomers that are unsure of what books to read and so on.

maybe another sticky post once a week for "shit posts and memes"
These are things that so many other popular subs utilize, yet nothing like it is ever done here.
I would hope things like this would help keep the rest of the forum on track to discuss the teachings of Chan/Zen
Like I said, I just want a place for discussion of Chan/Zen without all the one-uping, without all the arguements for the sake of being right, without the needless "roleplay".
People will give me shit, I imagine, but when this forum of /r/Zen has the same issues being repeated and complained about over years and years with nothing being done to mediate and correct them, I think theres an issue.
