ewk's claims that Dogen is full of sex predators are just lies.

/u/ewk seems to hate Dogen and while it's highly debatable whether Dogen is Zen or not, his claims of it being full of sex predators are ridicilous.

It seems any "master" that has sex with a student instantly gets called a "sexual predator" by /u/ewk. While it is against the religious rules and thus unethical, calling them "sexual predators" is ridiculously overstretching. All of them are adults and may choose to fuck anyone they want to.

Also it's patronizing to claim that the students don't have any influence over the masters, who's to say they're not the "sexual dominant" in any of these cases?

An actual sexual predator would be a teacher from a real school having sex either with a minor student or a student that has recently stopped being a minor. All of these "sex scandals" in Zen monasteries where two people decide to fuck are just cringe.
