The real "point"

There is no one that can really help you. In looking, you presuppose there is something to be found, and thusly overlook. It's always "this" based on "that". "This" is the way, based on "that" teaching. What if you don't base "this" on "that"? What happens when you break this cycle?

A lot of you here seem very confused. Is it not obvious that zen masters uttered nonsensical bullshit?

"Kill the buddha"

"If you do not heed this, or espouse this, or if you do/say this, you blaspheme the patriarchs."

You twist yourself into knots trying to see these contradictions as some "non-logical" way of thinking. There is no way. There is nothing for you to hold on to.

There is no hidden message, and that lack of message is staring you in the face. They're saying they've attained enlightenment, and there's nothing for them to impart to you. Your mind is all you have, and you can't lose it.
