Reddit is fine, though.
I've recently found out a platform based on Reddit, and it's free and open-source (meaning we have the code to make our own platform). It's called Lemmy.
The difference is that it could be a platform dedicated to Zen discussion only, and communities dedicated to discussing specifics, like Zen masters, texts, et cetera. It can be a form of organizing discussion and also dealing with the funny off-topic off-reasoned posting which was already solved by the creation of r/zensangha.
The possibilities to enhance the discussion are exciting.
Take for instance, one of the two lemmy platforms, communism.lemmy.ml
(note to people attached to the ideology of capitalism, this is not a communist agitprop)
They have communism as their main focus, but communities focused on discussion on analysis of capitalism, others for the creation of art, music, and other based on the sharing of books.
This can be an interesting way to develop focused discussions on Zen.
