My Kindle recommended "The zen teaching's of Bodhidharma" what is your guys opinion of this book?

Im probably going to read it either way but I wanted to know if I should read this under the views of more of a parable lens? Is there evidence he even existed or is he more like the "Flower sermon" where it probably didn't happen but lots of people dig the story
