Illiteracy doesn't make you more Zen. (meta)

The astounding level of ignorance on r/Zen and Reddit in general is analogous to living in the Dark Ages. Corresponding on Reddit is like conversing with medieval peasants who insist the Earth is flat, and attack anyone who says differently.

Peasants, particularly the functionally illiterate, are gonna feign an alliance with authority figures by deriding any sort of independent thought, or even second-hand thoughts which champion independence; I get it.

Any established, irrefutable facts are swept aside on r/zen. To compound the stupidity, the person stating the facts is virtually accused of heresy for not regurgitating the religious orthodoxy in a virtue-signally manner.
