You don't need to do anything; just observe the mind and wake up to the reality of your fully awakened nature / Sit in Zazen for 20 hours a day.

You don't need to read much of Zen, you need just enough to point you to the nature of the mind as Buddha / Be careful about trusting your own intuition: continue studying and reading widely to find firm grounding the dhamma.
Anyone else have any others?
I think it's important to see the value in contradictory statements as there's great nuance achieved by combining them and extracting the sensitive truth out of their opposing force.
