Juzhi's one finger and a bewildered neophyte

Okayyyyy, I'm stuck ladies & gents.

Thus far, I understand that the attendant mimicking the zen master's one finger zen gesture was not out of understanding Juzhi's message. In response to that gesture, Juzhi cuts the kid's finger off, but then that monk cutting off the kid's finger and (probably) raising it as the kid turns around, can people give me their 0.02 on that? Thus far, it sounds like a horror movie past that point and a "hah, now you got nothing to show from my lessons" kinda thing.

RANDOM THOUGHT: Taking Baizhang's fox into consideration, should've the kid gone up to the monk, kicked him in the groin and then showed him his own groin out of understanding cause and effect, or would've that also been seen as mimicking by the monk, which would cause the monk to cut off his balls?
