The master instructed the assembly saying "every one of you has Zen and has the Way. If there is someone who asks you, 'What about Zen?' or 'What about the Way?' How would you answer them?"

A monk asked, "Each of us has Zen and the Way, from long ago until now, why has there been so much talk?"

The master said, "Because you are a wondering ghost."

The monk said, "It's not yet clear to me, how do you help people?"

The master retired without saying a word.

Can Joshu help people by speaking to the monks? If he can't, how can I?
