In a reverie the other day, I heard Yongjia sing out,"The illusory transformations of nothing is precisely the True Body of Reality"
Unwilling to let it rest, I bring it out for all of you fine folks:
Is there transformation or not?
How does Yongjia's Zen contrast with religions currently in fashion, e.g., Watts-ism, Eclectic Gnosticism, e-Buddhism, Dogenism?

I haven't heard back from Horsetrainer beyond "Wow." when I sent a few questions about her self-avowed cultural intolerance for Zen.
There have been plenty of people that come and go on this forum, in Zen communities, what about the one's that stick around, did they get anything out of it? Go ask Shiqi.
At the cremation of senior monk Jiao, Stone River (Shiqi) gave this verse:
Awakening is itself a disease
What medicine can cure it?
Abandon everything, don't think about it
When refined gold goes into the fire it naturally glitters
Fire tests for glittering gold; Zen AMA's tests one's understanding. Bring forth your questions!!!

Finally got around to printing out and binding Anderl's Zu-tang Ji and "Zen Buddhism Rhetoric in Korea, China, & Japan".
The 2nd one looks to be a bummer, but since it goes deep into the literary side of things, I coughed up the $ to the University's printing services for it too.

Mr. Buddha's last words are recorded as:
"All compounded things[dharmas], all experiences (mental and physical), all phenomena by their very nature decay and die, and are disappointing: it is through being not-blind-drunk on, obsessed by, or infatuated with, the objects of the senses that you succeed in awakening, or obtain liberation."Source
Buddhists believe that getting drunk on compounded Buddhist dharmas is a good thing and a tool topropel them to enlightenment. Well, the record so far records them as attempting assassinations on Buddhas, censoring their records, and promoting meditation-wisdom heresy within the community.
Regardless, Zen Masters don't agree with their compounded, fabricated, and altogether imaginary, Dharma.
