舉。楞嚴經云。吾不見時。何不見吾不見之處(是何心倖)。若見不見。自然非彼不見之相(自知即得)。若不見吾不見之地。自然非物。云何非汝(心忙手急推出擁入)。
Case: The "Surmounting Obstacles" Sutra says, "When I don't see, why don't I see where I do not see?1 If I see my not seeing, naturally, that does correspond to not seeing.2 If I do not see the place of my not seeing, naturally, it is immaterial. How is this not you?3
1: This is whose mind's fortune?
2: Know this yourself and it is immediately obtained.
3: The mind is impatient; the hands are worried--pushing out and swarming in.
Zen Masters are the only one's who can pluck a thread out from the sutras without getting tied up in the inescapable idolatry of religious doctrine.
Just look at the commentary...
How is the audience of Wansong anyone other than those who already recognize their original Buddha nature?
(Forewarning: Anyone who flaps their tongues about how the wisdom they claim to have found in any of this will probably get blocked)
