The following poem was inspired by this talk by Donald Hoffman

...

Interface Operating System

Looking down the barrel of a microscope

Cells, then organelles, then isotopes

How deep down do you have to go,

Before you'll know what you need to know?

Looking closely at pixels spread on a screen

Doesn't clarify what the images mean

That's done where the image is seen

I don't even know, if ya know what I mean?

Swallow the ocean in a single sip

Fold up a mountain into its toppest tip

Sights, sounds, smells; only just perception

What is real, and what's a functional deception?
