r/zen has seen it's fair share of people claiming "alternate practices":
- new age
- Dogen buddhism
- alt buddhism, evangelical Buddhism
- Wattsians, New age western taoismers
- meditation/psychonaut "experiencers"
- stoics, individualists,
These people consistently all struggle with disagreement, facts, AMAs, and of course Zen teachings.
How do we draw a connection between practices, progress, and results? Where are all the results?
In contrast, what do people who "practice" this struggle with? What are their results?
There are 90k followers in this forum... most of them keeping what they practice to themselves. How does that reflect on the forum?
