When hungry, eat; when tired, sleep

Later people would vainly calculate on their own and say, "Why so many concerns? When cold, tum toward the fire; when hot, take advantage of the cool shade; when hungry, eat; when tired, get some sleep." If we interpreted meanings this way, on the basis of ordinary feelings, to explain and comment, then the whole school of Bodhidharma would have been wiped off the face of the earth. Don't you realize that twenty-four hours a day, from moment to moment, the Ancients never gave up wanting to understand This Matter?
