Faith in Mind, Fourth Excerpt

When movement stops, there is no movement --

and when no movement, there is no stopping.

When such dualities cease to exist

Oneness itself cannot exist.

To this ultimate state

no law or description applies.

Richard B. Clarke

When we stop movement, there is no-movement

When we stop resting, there is no-rest.

When both cease to be,

How can the Unity subsist?

Things are ultimately, in their finality,

Subject to no law.

R.H. Blyth

Arrest motion, and motion ceases to exist;

move stillness and stillness is gone.

But when neither comes into being,

how can even a single thing exist?

In the ultimate realm, the farthest extreme,

norms and standards no longer hold.

Burton Watson

It's not about movement or stillness; loudmouthed-ness or quietude! Nevertheless: Speak! Speak!

Before the breath exits your nose, where will you find it?
