Wumen (1183–1260) is barely earlier than Dogen (1200-1253) by a couple of decades. If you're going to trot out some perfect example of a "Zen Master" surely you could find someone earlier. But you can't, because your ewk created cult follows yet another cultists who is undoubtedly invalid and not a real Zen master. Prove that "Wumen" was a real "Zen Master." Prove he is even truly connected to true Zen Transmission. Prove it. Or you're all cultists and religious trolls equal to what you say about the Dogen followers.
ewk and his alts will say "Can't quote Zen masters can't discuss zen." But let's up the anty: "Can't quote Zen PATRIARCH, go jump in the lake." What's a "master" versus a patriarch? Quote Bodhidharma himself, or go home. "Wumen" might as well be a random woman as far as I'm concerned; she's not valid. She can take her "gateless gate" back to her brothel.
