Sacca-kiriya is a form of spoken "ringing" truth that has immediate impact on it's witnesses and possibly the speaker. The concept probably predates buddhism and was absorbed as a teaching device.
For me, it makes me consider all of the historical instances in zen of the certain combinations of words and moments they were said triggering great insights.
I found the concept looking deeper into the buddha's son Rāhula. It apparently was how his mother ended the "fetter" associated with his existence.
