Master Yunmen on seeing reality as it really is:

Someone asked: “What does ‘Sitting correctly and contemplating true reality’¹ mean?”

The Master said, “A coin lost in the river is found in the river."

Translation note: 1 “Sitting correctly” signifies genuine meditation in which everything is seen as it really is (Jap. sotio mama)—i.e., in its true reality.
