Zen Masters reject mediation: /r/zensangha/wiki/notmeditation
Zazen prayer-meditation was invented by a cult messiah who hated Zen: https://www.reddit.com/r/zen/comments/9s89vp/meta_moderation_policy_toward_a_zencentric_forum/
So, why do people come in here to proselytize about how you can be "saved" or "helped" by Zazen prayer-meditation?
Why, when clearly Zazen prayer-mediation doesn't work, and tends to produce sex predators? /r/zen/wiki/sexpredators
The answer is that Buddhist Zazen prayer-meditation and Christian prayer are essentially the same thing: a disease of hope.
Without hope that Zazen prayer-meditation will save them, without hope that praying to Jesus will save them, people have to face their doubt.
Doubt that practice won't pay off.
Doubt that enlightenment is out of their reach.
Doubt that they aren't good enough or smart enough or virtuous enough to deserve.
No wonder the people in this forum who practice religious meditation are so full of fear and anger...
Doubt is eating away at their hearts.
