Some master (don't remember who) goes to meet this hermit who's continually doing zazen on this flat rock. The hermit gets up to receive him, and the master notices that there are wolves and other dangerous animals prowling around the edge of the clearing. The hermit says, "Oh, I see this is still with you," and the master bows, and they go inside the hermit's hut. The master gets up early the next morning and writes the character for "Buddha" on the hermit's rock, and when the hermit comes outside and sees it, he's shocked, and the master says, "I see this is still with you", and the hermit bows.
I've been Googling for twenty minutes! Help!
