You do you.

Many people whip themselves into a frenzy at the approach others take, and while this may have some basis when it is clear that others are leading people into confusion and wrong views, ultimately...that is their business.

When you present something simply and clearly and people turn around and start foaming at the mouth, that is hardly your fault...save in your choice of audience.

However, on a public forum you can't really choose who reads and who doesn't, and likewise you can't always choose how they will respond.

This has been going on for a very long time now, and it's never really been all that different, so being surprised at this, well.

If you have set your feet firmly on the path, and you have dedicated yourself to understanding, it should (hopefully) come as no surprise that many detractors will arise who will likewise seek to derail you from the path.

There is a terrible and great fear in those that don't practice but profess interest, that there is something very far beyond their understanding.

There is.

Unfortunately, due to their karma, they never make the connection that they can find out what is there by going and training themselves.

Excuses, tends to be myriad. They don't have the time. It's too hard. Too far away.

This is normal and should come as no surprise.

It is important if you wish to achieve that you empty your excuses, and train with dedication. When those arise who say "Why are you bothering? That's not necessary!" just look at them and think about whether or not they have anything to offer at all, or whether they're trying to push their disease on to you, as misery loves company and people like that always want to drag everyone down to their wasteland level.

Consider Mumon.

He spent six years working on one K'ung An.

Six years!

Yet many who quote him say that practice is unnecessary. Look towards the conflicts and inconsistencies in their speech, and it will soon become obvious to you as the Sun coming out from behind the clouds which cannot be ignored, save by those who pretend to ignore it or who actively seek to deny it via sticking their head's in bags and proclaiming that the Sun isn't shining.

Of course it is.

If your head is in a bag, take it out and just have a look.

It's really not that hard to see....if you can let go of your attachments, pre- conceived notions, fears, unwillingness to be honest with yourself and a myriad of other possible difficulties.

Mind you...that isn't always easy in and of itself, so there is a clear example of how something straightforward, isn't always easy.

Take good care of yourselves.
