Letting Go, by Zen Master Sisyphus (~2017)

Sisyphus was walking along a path. He looked and saw a body suspended one foot off the ground. He looked up and saw a man grasping with all his strength to a branch.

"Help me, sir!" the man said. "My name is Mortal. I cannot get down! I need help!"

"Let go of the branch," Sisyphus said.

"You tell me to not grasp at the branch, but then I will be grasping at not-grasping. That does not help!" cried Mortal.

"Don't grasp at non-grasping. Just let go of the branch." Sisyphus replied.

"But I am spending all my effort on grasping at this branch. You tell me to expend more effort at not grasping the branch! This will not do!"

Sisyphus shook his head. "It takes no effort to let go of the branch. It takes an end to effort. Just relax your hand and let go."

"You want me to be attached to non-attachment! A contradiction!" said Mortal.

"Very well," said Sisyphus. He began to walk away, then stopped and turned back. "Oh, there is a bee on your foot."

Immediately the man let go of the branch and fell to the ground. In that moment he was enlightened.
