Why Fakers Stay Away From r/zen

The 465th case from Dahui’s Treasury,

Master Touzi was asked by a monk, "'All sounds are the voice of Buddha' - is this so?" He said, "Yes." The monk said, "Master, don't make a sound farting." Touzi then hit him. The monk also asked, "'Coarse words and fine speech all return to ultimate truth' - is this so?" He said, "Yes." The monk said, "Can I call you an ass?" Touzi then hit him.

Dahui said, "Two outlaws are foiled." He also said, "But tell me, which one is a bush bandit, and which one is a true rebel?"

The monk speaks with the voice of Buddha, his words return to the ultimate truth, but he still gets a beating.

What I find most interesting about this case is how, contrary to other schools that may or may not call themselves Zen without any relationship to it, the tradition Touzi is part of doesn’t need people to show reverence to their teachers. Touzi doesn’t need the monk to respect and honor him. He hands out the beatings himself.

Who else anywhere in the world can do that? Why can no teachers who claim affiliation to Zen come to this forum and hand out beatings? Why do they stay in their blogs and fb groups and private classes and remove anyone who they feel disrespected by?

We know the answer, but do they?
