問了事底人如何 [A monk] asked [ZhaoZhou], "How about people who have settled the heart of matter?"
師云正大修行學 The Master said, "[They've] rectified [their] thinking in a big way [on what constitutes the] study [of] practicing Buddhism."
云未審和尚還修行也無 [The monk] said, "This monk still doesn't know what is 'practicing Buddhism' and what is not."
師云著衣喫飯學 The Master said, "Wearing clothing and eating rice [is] study.
云著衣喫飯尋常事未審修行也無 [The monk] said, "Wearing clothing and eating rice are ordinary affairs. [I still] don't know what is 'practicing Buddhism' and what is not."
師云你且道我每日作什麼。The Master said, "Just what way am I engaged in every day?"
