I read through the sub and in no way do I mean this to demean the sub but its mostly Zen on the optimal path.
Everything in accordance. The perfect setting for walking the path.
Rarely, do I see posts about Zen in the rough neighbourhoods. With terminal illnesses. Cancer. Disability. Zen meets you wherever you are.
I'm interested because I'm currently undergoing tests for something. I'm not scared of death. I'm at a point where I am comfortable with what arises. The main concerns I have are having treaded water for so many years prior to discovering Zen.
To be honest, I'm asking for those that are out there that may be asking these questions.
What would Zen elders say about terminal illness? About a situation that tries the physical body? Are there any quotes you would feel relevant to a person in those situations?
They say the dying are well placed to realise Bodhi . Would you agree?
