Dogen was a fraud, Zazen prayer-meditation invented in Japan

I recently got harassed in this forum by claiming that there was no "proof" that Dogen was a liar... then the harasser quickly blocked me to prevent people from hearing the conversation in full... which looks like this:

First of all, Bielfeldt, a Stanford professor of Buddhism, already proved Dogen lied in a book called Dogen's Manuals of Zen Meditation. In the book, Bielfeldt establishes that without a doubt Dogen invented Zazen himself, a new take on a meditation manual of unknown origin dated from a hundred years ago.

No link to Rujing at all.

Bielfeldt's evidence was so overwhelming that we get this from Sharf, another Buddhism expert, in 2014:

The [Dogenism] school holds that shikantaza [Zazen] originated in China and was transmitted to the founder of [Dogenism], Dōgen Kigen 道元希玄 (1200–1253), by his Chinese teacher Tiantong Rujing 天童如淨 (1163–1228). However, the term shikantaza does not appear in surviving Chinese documents, and most nonsectarian scholars now approach [Zazen] “simply sitting” as a Japanese innovation... (Sharf, Mindfulness and Mindlessness in Early Chan, 2014)

Therefore it has been proven that Dogen lied. I'm not a bigot for calling out frauds and liars.

Plus, we can see the impact of that fraud on all the great "Zazen Masters" of the West: www.reddit.com/r/zen/wiki/sexpredators. When your ahem "church" depends on fraud and is led by addicts who sexually abuse their congregations? Your prayer-meditation is teh borken.

Further, to insist that this obviously bogus meditation practice represents a Chinese tradition, when Zazen is clearly a Japanese invention? Racist bigoted misappropriation.

To insist that this obviously bogus meditation practice is 4SZ, when it's obviously 8FP Buddhism all the way? That's religiously bigoted. Your religion didn't build that.

Welcome! ewk comment: The pattern with this kind of religious harassment from a church that denies historical facts and academic proof is the same every generation: Everybody says no, and the church eventually changes it's doctrine.
