Master Huanglong Xin said to an assembly,
Bodhidharma's school of mind has been transmitted up to the present without leaking a drop, without moving a hair. But if it does not move at all, how is it transmitted?
The precious seal stands for the subtlety of the teaching; layer upon layer of brocade, the stitching goes through.
Dahui didn't write anything on this one but he picked it out, of course, so what is he warning everyone about in citing Xin's statements that:

It doesn't leak; doesn't move;

It is subtle and mysterious; and
-
The stitching goes through layers of brocade.
