What is the relationship between nonduality and emptiness? Are they synonymous, or related in another way? I am only well versed in Western philosophy/metaphysics and was hoping someone could clear this up
I take emptiness to mean empty of independent existence. In other words, interdependence, everything has dependent origins. Nonduality though...is that not more a psychological state, where the subject-object perception and cognition is cut through?
Can you experience nonduality without recognizing emptiness?
