The mind is the source of everything, it shines forever, on and on all with the brilliance of its own perfection. But the people of the world do not see clearly - they concentrate only on that of which can be seen and heard. Blinded by their own sight and deafened by their own hearing, they do not perceive the spiritual brilliance of the source-substance (the mind). If they would only eliminate all conceptual thought in a flash, that source-substance would manifest itself like the sun ascending the horizon illuminating Earth with a shining light piercing through the void in expressions of colours and warmth.
Therefore, if you seek to progress through seeing, hearing and feeling, you must know you are deprived of your perceptions. The way to your mind will be cut off and you will find nowhere to enter. Only realize that, though real mind is expressed in these perceptions it neither forms part of them nor is separate from them.
What is real to touch is only what matters, do not deprive yourself of other senses - the vision and sound is limiting what is infinite. seek within and you will ground yourself to reality, free from conceptual thought and attentive to the immediate experience of being a living, breathing human being - that can experience a wide range of thoughts and emotions. This presence will nourish you.
