Buddha and JC have more in common than most people think.

Both JC and Buddha renounced worldly riches and required their followers to do so also.

"Let us live most happily, possessing nothing." (Dhammapada 15:4) -Buddha

“Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." (Luke 6:20) -JC

"So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:33) -JC

Society's attachment to material wealth is so out of control that the teaching to forsake all that you own in order to follow our Creator is considered to be the most hated teaching of both Buddha and JC
