Hello everyone,
I've read the Chan patriarchs, the Analects of Confucius, Dogen's Shobo Genzo, The Gateless Barrier, a handful of sutras (http://buddhasutra.com/), The Tao Te Ching, and some Peter Hershock.
Where do I go from here? I'm looking for thinkers whose thought exists on the boundary between Chan/Zen/Tao, histories of the development of Chinese/Japanese thought, commentaries/exegesis/analysis of important works/ideas. Scholarly/primary preferred over popular. The more philosophically rich the better. Histories/overviews/summaries of the field of research are a plus.
Thanks =]
