Not Buddhism, not meditation? Or not Zen?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen

  1. Zen is a school of Mahayana Buddhism
  2. The term Zen is derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the Middle Chinese word 禪 (Chán), which traces its roots to the Indian practice of dhyāna ("meditation").
  3. Zen emphasizes rigorous meditation-practice.
  4. The practice of dhyana or meditation, especially sitting meditation (Japanese: zazen) is a central part of Zen Buddhism.

Zen is basically a buddhist school, based on meditation techniques, taken from Yogacara, with world view inlfuenced with Taoism.

It's wikipedia. Or we have a more reliable member of our community to say what it is and what it isn't?
