The mind is the Buddha, and ceasing conceptual thoughts is the Way.
Once you have ceased thinking conceptually, you will have attained everything.
Everything we perceive is an illusion, as mind cannot be perceived by mind, mind too is an illusion.
When you stop thinking of anything as existing or not existing, self or other, good or bad, then you can rest easy.
What are concepts? All sense perceptions, including thoughts and entities of thought. If you see something, it is a concept, if you see nothing, it is a concept.
Don’t attach, and don’t try to detach from these perceptions. Treat them like the ashes of a fire already out, like pieces of driftwood.
That doesn’t mean to try and void forms and phenomenon, that too will lead nowhere. Simply void mind of any concepts, and forms will void themselves.
Cessation of conceptual thought is the Way, seeing how to stop the habit of forming conceptual thoughts is the only effort worthwhile. But no practice can encompass mind, just see the illusory nature of all forms, and stop seeking or attaching to anything.
I got most of this from reading Huangbo, And from my experience, it Is true.
