Zen: it's components. (With an analogy)

Analogy

A monk asked his students if he was a monk, the students replied "yes". Then the monk told them to enumerate all the things that composed this "monk", so they mentioned his robes, his body, hair, limbs, knowledge, etc. So the monk tried to explain that that which we call a monk, is nontheless the conglomerate product of other things that are not a monk necessarily.

There's another analogy with a car, if you name and separate all the components of a car, there is no "car", what we call a car is the result of all those other objects combined.

Now the original question

What are the components of "zen"?
