A monk asked:
"The ten thousand things arise together, then is there anyone who is not deluded by them?"
The master said:
"There is."
The monk said:
"What is he who is not deluded?"
The master said:
"Do you believe that there is a Buddha-Dharma or not?"
The monk said:
"I believe there is a Buddha-Dharma, the ancients have said so. What is he who is not deluded?"
The master said:
"Why don't you ask me?"
The monk said:
"I did ask."
The master said:
"Deluded."
How do you even go about responding to such an accusation? Who is deluded? Who isn't deluded?
