How will zen help me to end porn/kratom/nicotine/pharmaceutical/cannabis addiction?

I have read a lot of zen. Mainly dt Suzuki books, which was a hard read at first since it was so keen on using terms I never heard before and would tell you what they meant only once. At first, a boss of mine years ago in the california conservation corps told me of meditation and how to concentrate on your breath. I find it to be immensely helpful, and am trying to increase the length of time I do it. However, I have had a hernia that becomes painful and I have to work for a living. Currently I've been consuming lots of kratom to help with the pain caused by the hernia. It sometimes makes me sick though and I hate spending money on this crappy green powder.

I also struggle with compulsive sexual activity and have cheated on girlfriends as well as have watched porn since a very young age. I try to meditate everyday and find reading koans and thinking of them helps me to feel peace. How can I use these to help me. Maybe some of you might have had similar issues, and I am curious to see how zen has helped you to get away from of these problems. Tell me how have you changed. How else can I achieve satori other than meditation? How can zen give me willpower and courage? Verses of zen masters or yourself much appreciated !

P.s.: please dont tell me to go to other subreddits
