I notice a desire to be right, to have the final word against my friends whose goals are more materialistic in nature. I have been disagreeing with them in how I want to spend my time. I want to be able to say to them "I told you so" in 30 years, when they might notice that the dualistic view cannot bring them lasting joy. They might also be totally fine with their life and who am I to tell them what's right or wrong. Have any of you had similar desires?
What's your opinion on my situation, and how would you deal with it?
