Xinghua: “When one person conveys a falsehood, ten thousand people pass it on as truth.”

ewk note: The Shrine of Many Children, as far as I could work out with Google, was a pre-Buddhist fertility shrine where you went to pray for male children... heirs... and Buddha met Kasyapa there, and what Buddha preached to Kasyapa was such that Kasyapa was enlightened nine days later. So, Kasyapa was Buddha's male heir.
The question of what the falsehood conveyed was, and what ten thousand people (or all the people in the world) are trying to pass on as truth, that's the gold.
