Wandering Ronin commentary on the Zen Community: No wonder Dogen is so unpopular around here! hahahaha. Zen community description below:

Try to discuss anything to do with Zen? Arguments arise, no one learns anything or changes their mind.

Try to explain the benefits of zazen? Zazen gets called "prayer-meditation" and derided as having nothing to do with Zen.

Try to help people out with what you know? Get kicked in the head for your efforts. Be expected to say "thank you" afterwards.

Try to say anything at all? Get pointed out exactly how you're wrong, with notes. Also, someone will remember how wrong you are, and bring it up later to remind you.

Try to post anything about contemporary or living Zen? Get called a "content brigader" by the world's saddest little troll.

Try to go against He Who Shall Not Be Named or what he believes Zen is? Get pages and pages of slander and outright unfounded lies posted against you, ad infinitum. No one seems to mind, until its them of course.

Come to the community in a sincere effort to learn and help others? Get called a cultist and "attention seeker" among every other name in the book possible.

Try to make an honest effort to tell the community that we can all be more civil and by not being "Zen Assholes"? Cause great panic and civil unrest! Mods decide to get involved, and remove thread, hahaha
