If we deleted the wiki, and lost all Zen texts, had no reference for what old dead Chinese men said 1000 years ago, how would this affect your practice?
If you had no books to read, or quote at those you disagree with, how would you support your claims about self, no-self, or mind?
Aren't the texts themselves, frost added to snow? They are great, interesting works, to be sure. But don't the ancient dudes themselves warn against the exact type of 'holding up' of these texts that many here are engaged in?
When you make yourself 'right' and another 'wrong' because of some old words a dead man said, how is this not religion? How is it Zen?
