Zen is meditation

Zen is meditation.

That's it. That's the whole deal.

Forget your books. Forget your big ideas. Just meditate and then you will see for yourself what all the excitement is about.

All these books, quotes and ideas about Zen are just smoke from a fire. Meditation is the fire.

Meditation is a technique for doing stuff with your awareness.

If that sounds too weird then don't worry, it isn't. You are already doing stuff with your awareness right now. You are focusing your awareness on the words on this screen and on your ideas about the words. In fact, you do stuff with awareness all the time. It's a part of your life. In meditation we just get really good at doing stuff with awareness and take it to a higher level.
